Unified Library Management System (ULMS): CSU+

CSU+ logo

What is CSU+?

The CSU is implementing a shared library system known as CSU+ that will allow all 23 university libraries to manage hundreds of millions of books and articles and easily share resources with one another.

CSU+ is a shared library collection. While each campus library will still maintain its own collection, the physical resources in all the CSU libraries will be easily available to every CSU student.  In other words, CSUB students can access the holdings at campuses like San Jose State or San Diego and have them shipped to their campus with a few clicks of a button. This differs from the current Interlibrary Loan system in that borrowing periods are standardized, shipping is expedited, and CSU borrowers are preferred over outside borrowers.

Borrowing from other libraries is still available through Resource Sharing (formerly Interlibrary Loan).

Where can I access CSU+?

CSU+ is available through OneSearch! When you conduct a search, use the "Books & Media (all CSU)" scope to search materials here at CSU Bakersfield and materials at all 23 campuses.
