Behavioral Assessment Intervention & Response Team
The Behavioral Assessment Intervention and Response Team (BART) supports the health and safety of the campus by providing a central agency where campus members can report behaviors that are disruptive, concerning, or pose a threat to self or others. The goal of BART is early detection and intervention of at-risk behaviors by coordinating a collaborative response to address concerning situations before they escalate to more serious issues.
Care Services
The mission of Care Services is to improve the well-being and success of CSUB students through a campus-wide team response that includes strategizing possible solutions and resources to address the needs of individual students of concern.
Center for Accessibility and Essential Needs (CAEN)
The Center for Accessibility and Essential Needs ensures higher education is accessible to all students, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our mission is to remove barriers to academic success by addressing essential needs like food security and housing stability. By providing resources and support, we aim to create a foundation where students can thrive academically without the stress of unmet basic needs.

The Counseling Center provides counseling and consultation services to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in the university. The Center offers short-term counseling to help students with personal, academic, and career concerns. The primary goal of counseling is to help students develop the personal awareness and skills necessary to overcome problems and to grow and develop in ways that will allow them to take advantage of the educational opportunities at the university.

If you need or are interested in longer-term therapy, the Counseling Center can make referrals to other professionals or agencies in the community.

University Police

The CSUB University Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the safest possible environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The University Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The University Police Department investigates crimes that occur on campus and assists other local law enforcement agencies.
