The NSSRN samples and estimates the characteristics of registered nurses in the workforce. The information from these surveys helps us evaluate trends and projections of the future supply of nursing resources.

Hospital Safety Rating
The Los Angeles Times recently published an interactive map with patient safety ratings for 250 California hospitals, based on data analysis by Leapfrog Group, an employer-backed nonprofit that tracks health care quality, http://graphics.latimes.com/california-hospital-scores/.

National Nursing Workforce Survey Data
The National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA) within HRSA conducts surveys and provides data on the supply, use, access, need, and demand for health workers. Data for two surveys on the nursing workforce are currently available.
