Keith Knight is a prominent cartoonist best known for his comic strips (Th)ink, Knight Life, and the K Chronicles. Knight was born in 1966 in Malden, Massachusetts outside of the Boston area. The body of his work addresses topics such as social injustices, politics, and race relations in the United States. In a 2016 interview Knight said that the United States is “built on ignorance of the past and if we don't acknowledge what happened in the past and don't rectify and make amends, then we're destined to continue to go this way." The first of his strips, the K Chronicles, was published in the early 1990s and appeared in the San Francisco Examiner. Most recently, Knight began working on a sitcom, Woke, which appeared on Hulu in 2020. The show is based on stories from K Chronicles as well as his personal life. Knight continues to do public speaking engagements and raps for the band, The Marginal Prophets.
