  • Bureau of Justice Statistics - The mission of BJS is to collect, analyze, publish, and disseminate information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.
  • Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics (COPAFS) - they represent researchers, educators, civic groups and businesses that rely on the quality and accessibility of statistics collected by the federal government. Reports may be located here.
  • The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) - locate statistics on hate crime, view the National Use-of-Force Data Collection, utilize the Crime Data Explorer, view the Law Enforcement Suicide Data Collection, and various other resources through their webpage.
  • The Federal Bureau of Prisons -  browse their webpage to locate research & reports on drug treatment program evaluations, equity and diversity issues prison management, public vs. private prisons, recidivism, and other topics. 
  • Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) - An international consortium of more than 750 academic institutions and research organizations, Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) provides leadership and training in data access, curation, and methods of analysis for the social science research community.
  • National Archive of Criminal Justice Data - NACJD hosts several large-scale datasets, including the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports (UCR), the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS), and the Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN).
