Faculty Services

How Librarians Can Help

The strength of our collection depends greatly on faculty-librarian collaborations. Faculty are welcome to submit book and video purchase requests at any time. During the fall, librarians will send out an email reminder to their liaison department faculty and provide a deadline for materials for that year. Faculty are encouraged to use the form at the left for submitting requests or work through their subject librarian.

In addition to working with faculty to build up the library’s collections, librarians are available to assist faculty in identifying course materials, including open education resources, and to assist faculty in locating resources related to their own scholarship.

CSUB Institutional Repository

Runner Scholar is CSUB's open access digital repository. Hosted by the CSU's Chancellor's Office, Runner Scholar is a platform that allows faculty share their scholarship. Works deposited into Runner Scholar are available immediately worldwide potentially increasing readership and citation. Journal articles, datasets, open educational resources, and other creative scholarship activities can be deposited.
